THOU SHALT NOT WEIGH THYSELF is the result of my continuing passion to inspire, motivate, and encourage you to love yourself so much that you take better care of yourself - on all levels of your being. This book is short, easy to read, totally positive, compassionate, and uplifting.
As you know, we have many books about conscious breathing, conscious eating, conscious this and that. This one is about conscious fitness on all levels of your being, including the physical. Tender loving care of the physical seems so often to be forgotten or put on the back burner.
We all have such grand dreams and outrageous passions, don’t we? How can we possibly fulfill them if we don’t take care of the miracle of this physical body too? How can we possibly be truly and all of who we are if we are not fully alive, vital, and healthy on ALL levels?
THOU SHALT NOT WEIGH THYSELF is full of my truths and insights about letting go of old beliefs that limit and restrict, like “dieting” and “weighing in”. Striving for a certain weight, size, or shape is no longer the way to go! We were told months ago that in this new energy, even the structure of our muscle fiber is transforming such that exercise now needs to be light and non abusive. That is part of what this book is about. This book is for those who need encouragement to put health and fitness on the front burner, AND for all who choose to achieve a brand new level of fitness, health, and vitality in new ways that really work with the new energy.
I hear excuses of the mind all the time. Excuses like, “I can’t do it.” “I have a bad hip.” “I have fallen arches.” “I don’t have time. I can’t fit one more thing into my day.” Yes you can do it! And, yes you can create time! I’ve created the TET plan, that is, the “Time Exchange Template”. I offer counseling sessions to encourage and support you, to assist you in seeing new potentials and possibilities, and to share with you how you can exchange minutes and “tweak” time so it serves you rather than controls you!
In this book I feature the mini trampoline or rebounder. Why? Listen up guys! This is not a non macho way to achieve fitness. NASA (North American Space Administration) requires rebounding as part of their astronaut training. Because...NASA and other researchers have found that rebounding is 68% more effective than ANY other form of exercise. I am all for maximizing my time, energy, and effort! It works so well due to the effects of gravity on the body as you bounce. And it meets our new requirements of light and non abusive. It is easy and gentle on the joints. Almost any one can do it. If my fragile 83 year old mom could do it, so can you. Let me show you how. AND.....rebounding is a great way to release stress! Also of critical importance, it stimulates the lymphatic system so that your cells are not living in a toxic waste dump, and as a result, strengthens the immune system.
I’ve been rebounding for 20 years. I am 62 years old and do not feel it, nor do I act like it.
I have created 2 routines that are easily adapted to your ability and time frame. The first is my 15 minute “Conscious Quickie” and the second is the 30 minute “Jump Just for the Health Of It ”.
